Fire Barriers and Curtains
Provide a barrier that prevents the passage of fire and smoke between voids such as over the top of block work, ceiling voids, underneath raised access flooring and within roof spaces. The most commonly used system is a flexible mattress which is non-combustible. The material prevents the passage of smoke and flames and to insulate the cold face of the barrier from increasing temperature expected in a fire situation by limiting heat transfer through the barrier. We supply and install systems from all of the major manufactures.
Main Manufacturers: Rockwool, Knauf, Firefly, Envirograph
Fire-Stopping
Where Mechanical and electrical services pass through floors and compartment walls there is failure of integrity and insulation. These gaps are sealed by fixing shuttering or Corifil slabs and using a fireproof compound to fill the void and restore the integrity

If the services will need to be changed and adapted at some point we would use PFC Corofil C300P Intumescent Pillows. These are Easy to remove and reinstate whilst changing services. They will provide up to 4 hours' fire protection to metal services and cables passing through compartment floors and walls.
Steel Casings
In a fire Structural steels will deflect and fail at relatively low temperatures. To overcome this problem Fire Protective Boards are fixed to a framework that is built around the steel columns and beams. The systems protect the steel by providing heatproof insulation. A number of different systems are available – some are left unfinished, and some are plastered ready for decoration. Fire casings can offer several hours of structural fire protection
The systems we most commonly used are Gypsum Fireline boards, Glasroc boards, and Calcium Silicate boards.
